NEW: Russia hit near both Kyiv airports as Witkoff and Kushner were reportedly about to fly in from Moscow.

A drone hit two old Soviet planes at Zhulyany, the in-city airport.

A Ukrainian MP said the envoys had been close to agreeing to land at Boryspil but would likely take a train instead.

The envoys landed in Moscow on September 5 and are still expected in Kyiv tomorrow.
