U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee: So here's the way I look at it. It is the Jewish people upon which Christianity is built. It is the Judeo-Christian foundation upon which Western civilization was built. If there was no Western civilization, the idea of the sanctity of the individual—where did that come from? From the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Where did that get into motion in government? Was it from ancient Rome? No. Was it from ancient Greece? No. Was it from the Ottoman Empire? No. If there had not been an Israel, there would never have been an America.
