US House Speaker Mike Johnson: You see, Marxism, communism, and socialism begin with the premise that there is no God. And there's a whole different set of implications that follow that. Because if there is no God, then the idea that every person has inherent dignity and value no longer applies. You don't have individual liberty or inherent worth. You're just another social animal, part of the herd. And what happens to the herd? They have to be directed, controlled, and corralled. They may provide them a little bit, give them some free stuff, but they're certainly going to take away their freedom. Ultimately, it leads to death.
