Zelensky: Since the start of the full-scale war, the Russian army has already set 15 different deadlines for capturing our Donetsk region. Russia's political leadership remains obsessed with the Donbas. Fifteen times they have indulged this illusion that they would fully seize the Donbas. In 2022, the deadlines were March 31, then May 9, then June 1, September 15, and December 31. In 2023, Putin set two more deadlines for capturing the Donbas: March 1, and then, after failing once again, December 31. In 2024, there were two more such deadlines. In 2025, when the Russians were trying to convince President Trump that Ukraine would supposedly collapse, they set three final deadlines for capturing the Donetsk region: September 1, December 1, and December 25. And this year, the Russians have once again postponed the date for capturing the Donetsk region. First, they set March 31 of this year, then September 1, and now the latest deadline is December 31. If Russia does not end this war, they will once again have to postpone this latest deadline.
