Polish PM Tusk on Ukraine:
Zelensky is aware that these historical issues concerning our shared history, and decisions involving the glorification of the UPA through naming military units after them, are something that will not meet with acceptance in Poland, regardless of political affiliation.
I have consistently stood on Ukraine’s side in its war with Russia, and truly nobody will convince me that it should be otherwise, because it is in Poland’s interest.
It is Ukraine’s role and responsibility to respect its allies, especially allies as active and as indispensable as Poland, and to take into account mutual respect and sensitivities.
