In the statement of the Strategic Deputy, it explicitly says: ‘The gatherings could change the field dynamics towards creating blockages in the path of diplomacy.’ ‘Some of these gatherings have turned into a lever to put pressure on the official structure (i.e. the government and negotiators)…posting a serious obstacle to making strategic and expedient decisions at critical moments.’ In other words, they want to use the people to protect the system during war time, but they don’t want those same people to be on the streets and freely expressing their critical opinion against the Pezeshkian / Qalibaf / Araqchi negotiations.
