Prof. John Mearsheimer: There's no evidence that Putin wants this war. Putin has never said he had any interest in conquering all of Ukraine, much less reestablishing the Soviet Empire in Eastern Europe. I don't understand what the threat scenario is that you plan against if you're the West.
