WATCH: Türkiye conducted live-fire demonstrations of three domestically developed naval weapons systems during the Sea Wolf-II/2026 exercise in the Antalya Gulf. It was the first time eight guided missiles and a torpedo were fired simultaneously in a single Turkish naval exercise segment, all against real decommissioned surface targets. The ATMACA anti-ship missile was fired from TCG Burgazada, an Ada-class corvette, striking a surface target 102 kilometers away. The target was destroyed. The sea-skimming missile uses indigenous INS/GPS guidance with a terminal seeker, and the demonstration validated its extended-range anti-surface capability in an Eastern Mediterranean setting. The AKYA heavyweight torpedo was fired from TCG Sakarya, a Preveze-class submarine, at a target 10 kilometers away. The torpedo split the target ship in half. It was the first live operational demonstration of Türkiye's indigenous heavyweight torpedo in a major fleet exercise. The HİSAR-D RF naval air defense missile was launched vertically from a MIDLAS system against an air target approaching at 555 km/h. The intercept was successful. The system uses an active RF seeker and dual-pulse motor and is part of Turkey's Çelik Kubbe, Steel Dome, layered naval air defense concept.
