Somali referee Omar Artan has been denied entry to the United States, casting doubt over his participation at the 2026 World Cup. Artan, a FIFA referee since 2018 and CAF’s 2025 Men’s Referee of the Year, was among the 52 officials selected to officiate at the tournament.
