German Foreign Minister Wadephul: If Türkiye wants to become a member of the European Union, we, as Germany, will be a friendly and reliable partner. At the same time, the Copenhagen criteria — namely democracy, the rule of law, and human rights — remain essential conditions that must be fulfilled in order to join the EU.
